When you think of a towering mosque or women draped with head scarves, Europe may not immediately come to mind.  However, more than 50  million Muslims live Europe with Islam as the fastest-growing religion.  People from North Africa, the Middle East, India, and Asia are immigrating to Europe seeking a better life, asylum, or refuge from war. The increase of Islam in Europe is a unique opportunity for Christians.  In Europe, unlike other countries, Muslims have more freedom to explore the claims of Christ.  Some have begun to follow Jesus and share their new hope with others from their homelands, and still more are seeking spiritual answers.

Greater Europe Mission wants to send 100 new workers to serve the peoples of Islam throughout Europe and North Africa.  Is God calling you to go?

Opportunities:

• Arabic Encounters Immersion Trip – This Immersion Trip is designed for people in their 20s and 30s who enjoy adventure, are excited about learning, and desire to experience a tangible transformation in their lives.  Your first destination wll be in a North African city to live with an Muslim family.  Then your adventure will take you to a European city where you will mingle among North African immigrants.
• Three Year Teams – Interested in joining a 3 year team focused on working with Muslims in North Africa and Europe?  Contact us about being a part of a two week exploratory trip to North Africa and Europe to see future ministry opportunities.
• Ethnographic Research Teams – Join a team of individuals interested in opening up new ministry areas.  We are looking for creative, pioneer, independent, self-starter types for this project.  Spend 3-9 months in target European cities, among Muslim immigrant groups, gathering ethnographic research for future three year teams.  Currently we are looking for Spanish speakers to be part of a research team to Spain.
• English Tutors – Do you have a degree or are certified in TEFL (teaching English as a foreign language) and want to use English to teach and tutor North Africans?  Three to nine month opportunities are available immediately!
• Teachers - Opportunities are available for elementary and secondary school teachers to teach in North Africa.
