“A Catholic rather than a Christian country” was the title of a recent article in the Irish Times. “We appear not to have absorbed into our culture any real understanding of what Christ came to tell us.” This, from a staff writer for Ireland’s biggest national paper, is exactly why we believe the time has come to see God’s Kingdom advance in our part of the world.

The UK and Ireland have a long-standing tradition of “Christiandom” but as society becomes predomoninantely secular, it is more important than ever that fresh expressions of faith emerge in parts of society where the Gospel is without influence.

If you are a passionate follower of Jesus who is ready and willing to radically rethink and live out what means to follow Him and live out Church, you might want to consider spending from a few months to several years in the UK or Ireland. Are you at a place in your academic pursuits that a year program abroad would enable you to be available to European ministries with need for your gifts and talents? Maybe you work for a company with branches in Ireland or the UK. Or maybe you just believe God’s got you doing ministry in the US that he wants you doing in Europe.

We are looking for people who desire and are ready to focus completely on simple, organic discipleship/church planting.  The “what” is basic but crucial–doing what the Apostles did:  prayer, sharing the Gospel, and discipling new believers to multiply disciples and plant churches.  The “what not” is also crucial: no involvement in traditional church and no (or very little) church or “Christian” programming.
